... or what can happen to leave the old for new roads!
And so it was to overcome the fear of being alone in a house too empty, in a beautiful sunny day (Saturday, November 21 ) we started.
Under the auspices of the colorful looks of the cattery cats ( Misti in this photo) we got on "The Bride" and so on.
only condition, search for new paths.
see new things.
Where are we going? Who knows.
Where to eat? Where there is hunger.
enjoying the sunshine and warm air concediamoci the silence of our helmets and our embrace del vento sulle giacche.
In kilometri?
In kilometri non vale la pena di menzionarlo questo viaggio… and fro we did less road than they do every day just to go to work.
Ahead? In peace?
Go there too. Go there without fail.
We ended up in Sabina and we "landed" in a small village near Torri in Sabina, never heard of it, Bishop.
There was a sign of a restaurant ... the time was right ... you take the detour and enter ... but what wonder have we found?
The Shrine of Bishop is beautifully curled up in the woods, at the crossroads between the Via Romana Vecchia, and the Provincial Road Sabina.
In a real park, in the pines, with an archaeological site right next to the Sanctuary ( is always seen as places of worship really old).
the restaurant we have forgotten.
We walked on the grass, visited the church and the old walls, admiring the bell tower.
E 'enough to turn the corner and change perspective to find just a few miles from home, a small paradise.
We seemed to have made a great discovery, and instead is a very well known and popular ( the church is still active ).
Then we entered the restaurant and we made another discovery ... actually more than one!
The Restaurant "Oasis of Vescovio " We were misled. Outside
is represented by a small door that opens onto a small bar, so-so.
We thought it was wrong and we have asked to be sure.
No, that was the restaurant, a small door behind il bancone del bar…. e ci siamo trovati qui…
Abbiamo mangiato benissimo.
Tagliatelle with porcini ravioli with truffle (truffle so ), gnocchi with meat sauce ... ( only to say the first ).
also bitter, "the house" we liked.
The bill made us smile ( and does not hurt these days ) after coffee and a stroll to see this "garden of the restaurant that intrigued us with his comings and goings of children.
And here's another surprise ....
) and that you worshiped the Virgin Foronovana ( least in 785 AD).
First, you can indulge your imagination.
enough to think that we are in Sabina and remember an anecdote in the case, the subject of legends, such as the Rape of the Sabine ...
What a beautiful day we spent. Bella
the way, nice place, good soup and a little bit of history.
But it's not over yet.
Why in the restaurant we spotted a flyer (if you click on it, I refer you to the original site). And since not
we're curious ... .. we read and decided right away!
Going for Oil and culture on a motorcycle!
to us? It 'a wedding invitation!
On the flyer there's a number ... call.
need to book?
No reservations, just a very friendly and cheerful voice that says "See you there, tomorrow morning at nine. "
We felt as if his heart again weighed a few ounces, not a ton of granite.
a scratch between the ears of the cat sanctuary, and via the highway to return home early, that tomorrow we get up at seven to be here at nine!
Sunday morning at seven o'clock, the fog could not see anything.
Cold and wet in all the way up to Bishop, but then got there ... there was so much fog!
Fortunately Fiorenzo and his wife ( organizers) greeted us with a nice thermos of hot coffee and sweets.
that the motto of IRI ( our motoclub ) "Full Plan but" we have before?
Soon we would have changed their minds ... this is the motto of many riders!
arrived, arrived and came running.
In the midst of a fog that seemed to be in London I tried to count them ... but I lost count, distracted by the chatter ...
many new faces to talk to occur, face ...
And meanwhile continued to get the bike and thankfully in the meantime came the sun!
The organization was perfect! The registration fee
mythical 5 eurini old beat.
The bike has 52, all sizes colors and types.
From bikes to the most casual walk from the old woman to the new brand-new!
52 ... .. but pallineggiare! I think I have to pop up here and there all the time with stupid smile on his face and the camera, in a "shooting itself because otherwise this is forgotten!"
There was also the mayor!
guided tour of the ruins of the Forum Novum ( really good) and could not miss ... .. the megaphone- blessing of the bikes!
Motorcycles and olives, olives and motorcycles.
definitely a feast for the eyes.
I think the mill did not expect so many!
We did not know even where to park our many horses, so the bikes were scattered everywhere, in a peaceful invasion of cheerful and noisy people.
There were rumors that they were called, laughter, comments and photo machines that not even a mega-store has never seen so many all together!
and olives!
How belo this mill!
Clean, clean, organic!
If you live in the area, if you want to see how the oil will bring to the table is produced, home to the olive oil in your future, and I gg a visit to this mill VE suggest that heart!
We made a major effort and we sacrifice for you ... try it
Pure on hot toast ...
Or fried form of wonderful fried cabbage and onion, as you can see from the picture below, GG liked very little!
-hoppers The riders have not had to really pray and have a willing aid to the lords of the mill to clean up ...
... not even a crumb was left!
Honor cabbage in the batter ( but also to the onions). And honor
oil of this beautiful mill.
We will come back for sure, and soon, a machine equipped to fill!
last treat before heading to the second stage ... even the mill are riders!
There is apin!!
After Fiorenzo gathered us all to the sound of megaphone again for the second stage. Very few miles, but just a handful of curves along a road that runs along a ridge, with valleys on the right and left, and a panorama from getting lost in!
The medieval town of Fianello. ( here and here some more information or this post becomes a book! )
parked the bikes in the schoolyard ( asylum, clinic, and more ...) or rather, in the courtyard, on the road, in the fields all around, and then we move, strictly by foot, up to the fortress. And
we entered the Middle Ages!
simply enchanting.
You know, I lost count of the times I have said, but there it is.
Fianello has an antique oven villager, who baked bread in the days around the village intact and restored to its original use.
E 'was officially rekindled at the first "Feast of Bread," 29 August 1998 and since then bakes bread, cakes and "Falloni," all strictly leavened with sourdough ( Mother Mother )!
This oven still has all the energy of those who have "attended" and the magic of all the bread here has risen and has become!
And of course it was revived in honor of the visiting bikers!
That helped out here to clean everything right. Never let it be said that motorcyclists are messy people!
We always clean up everything well!
of ProLoco addition, we were guests of 'Sabina Old Farm, a farm just 50 meters from the village and we'll be back for sure to try ( because they are so cute. ... You thought, gossips! )
Even oil and fresh ricotta cheese and salami and ....
Luckily we then disposed of walking the streets of the Village .... first downhill all the way up to the window overlooking the valley ....
Then all uphill to get back to the bike!
Praticamente abbiamo girato il musino  the bikes and we arrived at Frantoio Minicucci.
Again, the bikes were scattered everywhere it was placed, right in the middle of the olive processing!
And while the machines collected, weighed, washed .... in the midst of the hustle and bustle of people focused on their work, the olives were weighed, paid in the funnels, transported, washed ... ..
... in the midst of all this turmoil the mill Minicucci welcomed us so ....
with other open flames, water, wine, toast and sausage ...
But not only because it had been prepared for gourmets a small amount of tripe ....
... Pentolina that use free ...
... all surrounded by trays of "Falloni" which solemnly commit myself to copy the recipe in an upcoming post ...
and the inevitable fried cabbage in batter ...
... that if you knew that we would find all this, one is a bit restrained by the other parties!
But no ... .. hard and fast throwing hands in boiling cabbage battered ...
and you could not say no! It would be a shame!
Here, here for the first time I saw the Centaurs gasp!
But it was so beautiful .... unleashed all around, a confusion on the bacchanal, those who watched, those who ate, those who drank .... and every time someone photographed!
And many struggled to clean up the place by the jelly!
Organization Behavior ( by Fiorenzo and Antonella ), good company, lots of new friends, so many things to see, culture, road, oil!
The centaur GrandeGatto ( Erfa for friends IRI) and the centaur Fiorenzo made arrangements for upcoming trips, organizations, twinning of motorcycle clubs!
Meanwhile, the ball skipped and chattered and stealing recipes!
What will be the subject of a post close by but not now!
Again let me say, I never tire:
Fiorenzooooooooo Thanks!
See you soon and Lamps to everyone!
nasinasi
ps for those who have followed us this far .... thanks.
Thanks for your patience now and thanks for the friendship shown before.
E 'with your help that we we're doing!
