Readings, Homily and Liturgy

PRIMA LETTURA
At 13,14.43-52
The Acts of the Apostles
In those days, Paul and Barnabas, continuing on from Perga, came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath, Jews and proselytes sedettero.Molti believers in God and they followed Paul and Barnabas, met with them, trying to persuade them to continue in the grace of Dio.Il next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. When they saw the crowds, the Jews were filled with jealousy and hurtful words contrasted with the statements of Paul. Then Paul and Barnabas boldly declared: "It was necessary first of all, it was proclaimed to you the word of God, but since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. So the Lord has commanded us: "I have set to be light to the Gentiles, so that my salvation to the ends of the earth". "Hearing this, the Gentiles were glad and glorified the word of the Lord, and all those who were destined to eternal life believed. The word of the Lord was spreading throughout the region. But the Jews incited the devout women of the nobility and notables of the city and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their territory. So they shook the dust against their feet, went to Iconium. The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
PSALM RESPONSORIAL
from Ps 99
We are his people, the flock that he leads.
Acclaim the Lord all the earth, serve the Lord with gladness, come before him with esultanza.Riconoscete that the Lord alone is God: He made us and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture . For the Lord is good, his love is forever, his faithfulness to all generations.
SECOND READING
Rev 7,9.14-17
the Apocalypse of St. John the Apostle
I, John, I saw here, a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And one of the elders said, "They're the ones who come out of great tribulation and have washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple: and he who sits on the throne stenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro.
In questo contesto primaverile, while preparing our communities and celebrate baptisms, first communions, confirmations and marriages, the liturgy takes us to the whole Bible in a dear, making us think of green pastures, a flock of sheep, and to stick to the crook, but also the danger lupi.È of the cliffs and a gospel of four verses that of today, a few words, taken from a broader discussion of Chapter 10 of John. Few sentences, but intense, strong, have a higher value in this Easter season we celebrate the victory over death and the marriage of the Lamb. So there is a biblical paradox that makes it even louder this Sunday the Pastor is all the more credible because he has made Lamb. The Shepherd's staff is associated with the wood of the Cross. His voice calling his sheep is associated with the silence of the Lamb, dumb, does not open his mouth, while it is being sacrificed for noi.Il central message is given by the first two verses: "My sheep hear my voice. I give them eternal life. " Jesus is in conflict with the Jews who do not want to believe (10.24: "If you are the Christ, tell us plainly!") And invites you to make a choice: if you do not believe, then it means that you are not my sheep . Now three verbs characterize the relationship shepherd - sheep: the sheep hear his voice, the shepherd knows the sheep seguono.Ogni the day we are overwhelmed and stressed by many entries. Indeed, often the voices become buzz, noise, confusion. Our ears, unintentionally, are affected by many sounds. Yet we recognize the different voices, including those we love. Even understand what their feelings by tone of voice, the pauses, the strength or tenderness of the words. Voices ... who believe in it because they are people who know us. It is now well attested that the baby can recognize not only the perfect mother's voice, but also that of his father, voices that have called and waited with trepidation, and love during the months of gravidanza.Nel Gospel of John many times spoken of the "voice ". I like to remember the "voice of the Bridegroom" recognized by his the groom, John the Baptist, called to show the world the Christ. And then, in Chapter 11, the voice of Jesus will call his friend Lazarus to life for four days sepolcro.Gli men may recognize the voice of the shepherd and follow him, it is the voice of a friend who loves them. Jesus knows them, knows us. The verb "to know" in the Bible does not express a purely intellectual process, but is the result of an "experience", a presence that reveals itself in love. Jesus is the only one to get to the bottom because he loved us until the end ... He has had experience of our humanity, "immersing" fully in our lives. It is true Pastore perché si è fatto ultimo, si è fatto Agnello. È da sottolineare un particolare: the garments of this multitude of men washed and become white, white, while passing through the red blood of the Lamb which is Christ. It is a sign that if we give ourselves to God, the great test of pain becomes the door to the joy of seeing the Lamb of God is the Good Shepherd who guides us to the sources of life. God will meet us there wiping the tears from our occhi.La voice, the knowledge, the following ... life! Jesus gives eternal life, not only physical life, or just life after death, but participation in the life of the Son of God: to be in communion with him. We already now, by faith and grace, partake of eternal life, especially through the sacraments, the power of Baptism and Confirmation and participation in the Eucharist. Finally, the voice of the shepherd to his hands ... We, we can pick up the Body of Christ, we know that no one can ravish us by the hand of the Son and the Father's hand. Their hands are strong, keep us close. Us that sometimes we get away from those hands, thinking that "obliges" us, we limit freedom. Yet when we realize that they are hands of love, we can only wish for sempre.Sì from voice to the hand, so we could summarize the message of today. Jesus not only calls me, but it gives me his hand, he shakes hands in those holes by nails, hands open to give, hands that have lifted while Peter was sinking in water, in fear of the winds. Pope Benedict XVI said: "... He has grasped his hand and gave us a new" specific gravity ": the lightness that comes from faith and draws us upward. And then there's the hand that supports and leads. He supports us. We set again and again our eyes on Him and reach out to Him Let his hand take ours, and then do not sink but will serve life which is stronger than death, and love that is stronger hatred. Faith in Jesus, Son of the living God, is the means by which again and again grabbed the hand of Jesus and through which he takes our hands and we guida.Lasciamoci grab by these hands! On this day dedicated to prayer for vocations to ask in particular that many young people can be fascinated by the Voice and Hands of the Good Shepherd and then want to follow him wherever he goes, their own voice to be consecrated hands of the Word and in particular for consacrare.Preghiamo for priests, pastors of the Church, that they may be joyful witnesses in their ministry to follow Jesus Teacher and Pastor. We believe in the priesthood this year, the testimony given by Cure of Ars. He said Benedict XVI, "was a man of great wisdom and heroic strength in resisting the cultural and social pressures of his time to condurre le anime a Dio: semplicità, fedeltà ed immediatezza erano le caratteristiche essenziali della sua predicazione, trasparenza della sua fede e della sua santità.

* For the Church, because through personal and community witness to those who have already responded to the call of the Lord inspire in young people the desire to respond generously to Christ, we pray.
* For the Pope, Bishops and Priests, for in this Year of the Priesthood, after the example of the Good Shepherd, as the Curé d'Ars, live their priesthood in the renewed service of unlimited donations, please.

PER LA MEDITAZIONE
After communion
Holy Spirit, burning fire of light and heat, give us a deep passion for intimacy with the Lord, to remain in his love. Like the disciples of Jesus were exchanged and the joyful surprise encounter with him, gives each of us the transparency of the heart to tell, with gratitude and wonder, what we have known him, lived and loved. Make our humble testimony, marked by the choice of the cross and welcomed in the hope of Easter joy, a sign of fertility and an invaluable opportunity for young people to reflect on their vocation with simplicity, trust and complete openness. Amen

Thank You Notes Forparticipating In A Funeral

IRI Vermentino 2010

Here we come to the point!
Finally the proposal for the organized tour in Sardinia for our motorcycle clubs, Internet Riders of Italy, whose subtitle could be "Piano but full," is ready.
It was not easy giving birth, because of the difficulties involved in organizing a distance, but we did and we hope that those attending will come out happy and full of pictures and memories ... to emerge as "full" in the sense of the term IRI, I have no doubt!
We have sacrificed and have "tested" for all the friends many miles (almost all) of the planned road and the jelly-planned stages ... some more than once!
The dietician, sincerely, thank you.
The final program is as follows:

29/05 - Between Curves and ancient masks

mamuthones

Arrival the port of Olbia in Sardinia.
7:00 pm (approximately) organizational little break (breakfast) and departure towards Gennargentu .
Telti - Monti - Ala dei Sardi - Buddusò - Bitti
Driving along the SS389, following the old path, a road really "fun" but not excessively demanding.
Arrive in Bitti around 09:30.
Here there is a small opening reception on the island.
sharing, Orune direction, then go to Nuoro, walk around and head Mamojada where you plan to arrive around 12:30.

In the hotel there waiting for a bus, just for us, that will take us to visit two of several companies producing wine typical of this area of \u200b\u200bSardinia.
In both seals in the tasting we will be assisted by an expert on wine, food and wine, directly Enoteca " Parishes" of Olbia.

Pievati
In the first stage of winemaking, will be offered a light snack, just not to succumb during the tasting of 5 wines previsti,  poi visita alle cantine e passeggiata in vigna.

14_43_20080107170406
I kilometri di questa third day are about 230, not counting the ones we do with the shuttle, but the SS131 is fairly smooth, despite the ongoing work in several places.

Brian Ledford Yancey County, Nc Murder

In computing, a must.

Peccato che the human being has no magic switch.

phone off, turned off the TV, blog suspended (which we think the cobwebs to keep it up ...) helmet on his head and nobody knows where we are and where we go.

Actually we knew little, too.

Some principle but basically we improvised.

House, Sardinia, our land, one of the many links between us.

02 - La motina

Two streets.

The old and the old 125 ... 389. who knows them knows, who does not know ... .. miles and miles of road that coils and uncoils, between cork and ancient rocks, steep gorges of red granite and sudden pools of water, dating only hope, a mouflon wild with her friends that he looked to pass, an eagle above our heads together with a small, secure meetings, the goats grazing on the roadside, cows lying in the street! ....

04 - Mammuttones 05 - Mammuttones-Un Campanaccio

A curve after another, a nice steady pace, the focus always on the road, adrenaline, to exchange a few words after a particularly challenging sequence of corners when the bike and straighten your back and you realize that you're smiling inside his helmet and breathing regularly again. ... and slowly in the head there is no room for anything else.

06 - Un fiore blu 07 - Un orchidea

only one street, the bike, what you see that you seem to be able to touch, smells .... who smashed a few bumble bee on the peak and back a laugh that pops into you.

Dormito,  mangiato, parlato.

08 - Seadas con miele

Cellulari spenti, siamo invisibili.

Asfodelo SONY DSC

... to sleep, thinking about the friends that we wanted with us, telling how this journey with us to convince them to do it again ...

Una motina in cortile Una gattaccio in cortile

... in short, "reviving" the road we had disconnected the wires ... reloading the programs that we had off, but only the truly necessary.

Un uomo nascosto

And finally Olbia, before boarding, we dived into a delicious snack, in a very interesting conversation in a wine cellar ( yeah, yeah, you got it, we are organizing a wine Mototour, visiting wineries, this year Vermentino ! ) and then ....

Due bicchieri e un tagliere

Readings, Homily and Liturgy

PRIMA LETTURA
At 10,34a.37-43
Dagli Atti degli Apostoli
In quei giorni, Pietro prese la parola e disse: «Voi sapete ciò che è accaduto in tutta la Giudea, cominciando dalla Galilea, dopo il battesimo predicato da Giovanni; cioè come Dio consacrò in Spirito Santo e potenza Gesù di Nàzaret, il quale passò beneficando e risanando tutti coloro che stavano oppressed by the devil, because God was with him. And we are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him on the third day and made him manifest himself, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen by God to us who ate and drank with him after his resurrection from the dead . And he ordered us to announce to the people and to testify that he is the judge of the living and the dead, God made him all the prophets give witness, that whoever believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name " .
PSALM RESPONSORIAL
from Ps 117
This is the day that the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad.
or: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Give thanks to the Lord he is good, because his love is for sempre.Dica Israel: "His love endures forever." The Lord's right hand is raised, the right hand of the Lord has done prodezze.Non die, but I'll stay vitae to announce the works of Signore.La stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This was done by the Lord is marvelous in our eyes
SECOND READING
Col 3.1-4
from the letter of Paul to the Colossians
Brothers, if you were raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God turn his thoughts to things above, not on earthly. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God! When Christ, your life, shall appear, then you too will appear with him in glory.
SEQUENCE
Victims Easter, rise today, the sacrifice of praise. The Lamb has redeemed his flock, the Innocent has reconciled us sinners with the Father. Death and Life are addressed in a tremendous duel. The Lord of life was dead, yet lives to reign. "Tell us, Maria: that you saw on the way. " "The tomb of the living Christ, the glory of the risen Christ, the angels and his witnesses, the shroud and his clothes. Christ, my hope has risen, and before you into Galilee. " Yes, we are certain: Christ is risen indeed. You, victorious King, bring us your salvation.
SINGING THE GOSPEL
See 1 Cor 5.7 to 8
Alleluia, alleluia.Cristo, our Passover, was sacrificed: we are celebrating in Signore.Alleluia.
GOSPEL
Jn 20.1-9
From the Gospel according to John
The first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went morning to the tomb when it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. She ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and told them: "They have taken the Lord from the tomb and we do not know where they have laid him." Peter came out with the other disciple, and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent down and saw the cloths laid there, but did not enter. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered the tomb and watched the sheets laid there, and the shroud - which had been on his head - not placed there with cloths, but wrapped in a separate place. Then went in also that other disciple, who reached the tomb first, and he saw and believed. In fact they had not yet understand the Scripture, namely that he must rise from the dead.
HOMILY
COMMENT ON READING
EYES OF FAITH
The resurrection, the heart of the Christian mystery, which involves everything we believe about man and God, you can not or explain it by reasoning, is an experience that can only live. Like all powerful experiences of life, those that you mark in: the programs you do not, you decide how you and when they happen. Neither is up to you the ability to understand them and I believe that everyone has already happened to realize what has meaning only after a certain experience a lot of time and other experiences. The pages of the Gospel, as well as the book of Acts and the letters of the apostles, we are part of the gradual and ever deeper "understanding" that the first disciples of Jesus had the resurrection, extraordinary and unexpected event that has profoundly transformed their lives, revealing the meaning and consequences of the months spent with the teacher in Galilee and Judea. The texts of the liturgy offers us for the day of Easter is an example of this process, which is not only about the early Christians, but also all of us: even today, little by little we understand what Easter means Jesus, not through abstract reasoning, but with life experiences, especially those that make us go through deep changes, there are - so to speak - born again, at a deeper level of consciousness.
Luke tells the second part of his work (Acts) experiences some of the mission of the apostles (especially Peter and Paul). In chapter ten makes us listen to the speech of the first of the apostles in the house of the pagan Cornelius, who announces the good news of salvation by Jesus That universal scope of Peter is not only a summary of the life of Jesus, but his interpretation of faith. In fact, Peter tells what "happened" between Galilee and Judea, but citing only the human characters (Jesus, the Jews, the apostles), rather than connecting the story with the project and the interventions of God Luca include events in the light of God's plan, that does not end with the resurrection of Jesus but continued with the testimony of the apostles, through which all people participate and become recipients of the mystery of salvation that God has done in his letter to the Colossians Paul Cristo.Nella when passing by the announcement of the Christian mystery to the practical consequences for the life of the disciples of Jesus, in a few lines gives us a summary of the Christian life that defines as an investment – già da ora - alla vita risorta di Cristo. La pagina del Vangelo di Giovanni ci racconta le prime reazioni di fronte alla scoperta of the empty tomb, which took place at dawn the day after the Sabbath. Mary was the first to go to the tomb, where he was buried the body of Jesus, that is all that remained of an experience that changed his life, and not prepared to see ended so miserably. When he sees the stone rolled immediately think of a theft, what else you might think in front of an open grave? He runs to warn the disciples, Peter and the beloved disciple is. They go running to the tomb, to see how Maria said, because it is not easy to believe a story like that. Peter, probably the oldest, comes to the tomb after the other disciple, had already come in there and he saw the bandages used to wrap the body of Jesus entering, Peter sees not only the linen cloths but also the cloth folded in another place, then realizes (and we with him) that the report given by Mary namely, that they had taken away the Lord, can not be true: If someone steals a corpse certainly not free from the bandages with which it is wrapped and not given the time to bend the shroud. Finally enter the disciple arrived first. He not only saw, like Peter, the situation of the tomb, but - John adds succinctly - he thought. He saw the linen cloths and the cloth and believed that the Lord had risen. For him, what he sees becomes a sign that opens to faith in the resurrection. In questa pagina l’evangelista mette in risalto il discepolo che Gesù amava: forse è proprio questo che conta, l’amore felt by the disciple of Jesus, perhaps it is this love that allows him to travel the distance between the sign and faith, between evidence and a partial profound certainty. What was the name that disciple? We do not know, as we do not know what his name was one of John's disciples who followed Jesus for the first (the other was Andrew), nor what it was called the disciple bows his head on Jesus at the Last Supper, or what goes into the high priest during the trial of Jesus, nor what Jesus wants us to stay until his return. Each reader is invited to take the role of the unnamed disciple, whom Jesus loved, the one that saw the linen cloths and the cloth e, grazie agli occhi della fede aperti dall’amore, credere nella resurrezione.
