The Acts of the Apostles
In those days, Paul and Barnabas, continuing on from Perga, came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath, Jews and proselytes sedettero.Molti believers in God and they followed Paul and Barnabas, met with them, trying to persuade them to continue in the grace of Dio.Il next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. When they saw the crowds, the Jews were filled with jealousy and hurtful words contrasted with the statements of Paul. Then Paul and Barnabas boldly declared: "It was necessary first of all, it was proclaimed to you the word of God, but since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. So the Lord has commanded us: "I have set to be light to the Gentiles, so that my salvation to the ends of the earth". "Hearing this, the Gentiles were glad and glorified the word of the Lord, and all those who were destined to eternal life believed. The word of the Lord was spreading throughout the region. But the Jews incited the devout women of the nobility and notables of the city and stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and expelled them from their territory. So they shook the dust against their feet, went to Iconium. The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
PSALM RESPONSORIAL
from Ps 99
We are his people, the flock that he leads.
Acclaim the Lord all the earth, serve the Lord with gladness, come before him with esultanza.Riconoscete that the Lord alone is God: He made us and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture . For the Lord is good, his love is forever, his faithfulness to all generations.

the Apocalypse of St. John the Apostle
I, John, I saw here, a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And one of the elders said, "They're the ones who come out of great tribulation and have washed their robes white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple: and he who sits on the throne stenderà la sua tenda sopra di loro.

In questo contesto primaverile, while preparing our communities and celebrate baptisms, first communions, confirmations and marriages, the liturgy takes us to the whole Bible in a dear, making us think of green pastures, a flock of sheep, and to stick to the crook, but also the danger lupi.È of the cliffs and a gospel of four verses that of today, a few words, taken from a broader discussion of Chapter 10 of John. Few sentences, but intense, strong, have a higher value in this Easter season we celebrate the victory over death and the marriage of the Lamb. So there is a biblical paradox that makes it even louder this Sunday the Pastor is all the more credible because he has made Lamb. The Shepherd's staff is associated with the wood of the Cross. His voice calling his sheep is associated with the silence of the Lamb, dumb, does not open his mouth, while it is being sacrificed for noi.Il central message is given by the first two verses: "My sheep hear my voice. I give them eternal life. " Jesus is in conflict with the Jews who do not want to believe (10.24: "If you are the Christ, tell us plainly!") And invites you to make a choice: if you do not believe, then it means that you are not my sheep . Now three verbs characterize the relationship shepherd - sheep: the sheep hear his voice, the shepherd knows the sheep seguono.Ogni the day we are overwhelmed and stressed by many entries. Indeed, often the voices become buzz, noise, confusion. Our ears, unintentionally, are affected by many sounds. Yet we recognize the different voices, including those we love. Even understand what their feelings by tone of voice, the pauses, the strength or tenderness of the words. Voices ... who believe in it because they are people who know us. It is now well attested that the baby can recognize not only the perfect mother's voice, but also that of his father, voices that have called and waited with trepidation, and love during the months of gravidanza.Nel Gospel of John many times spoken of the "voice ". I like to remember the "voice of the Bridegroom" recognized by his the groom, John the Baptist, called to show the world the Christ. And then, in Chapter 11, the voice of Jesus will call his friend Lazarus to life for four days sepolcro.Gli men may recognize the voice of the shepherd and follow him, it is the voice of a friend who loves them. Jesus knows them, knows us. The verb "to know" in the Bible does not express a purely intellectual process, but is the result of an "experience", a presence that reveals itself in love. Jesus is the only one to get to the bottom because he loved us until the end ... He has had experience of our humanity, "immersing" fully in our lives. It is true Pastore perché si è fatto ultimo, si è fatto Agnello. È da sottolineare un particolare: the garments of this multitude of men washed and become white, white, while passing through the red blood of the Lamb which is Christ. It is a sign that if we give ourselves to God, the great test of pain becomes the door to the joy of seeing the Lamb of God is the Good Shepherd who guides us to the sources of life. God will meet us there wiping the tears from our occhi.La voice, the knowledge, the following ... life! Jesus gives eternal life, not only physical life, or just life after death, but participation in the life of the Son of God: to be in communion with him. We already now, by faith and grace, partake of eternal life, especially through the sacraments, the power of Baptism and Confirmation and participation in the Eucharist. Finally, the voice of the shepherd to his hands ... We, we can pick up the Body of Christ, we know that no one can ravish us by the hand of the Son and the Father's hand. Their hands are strong, keep us close. Us that sometimes we get away from those hands, thinking that "obliges" us, we limit freedom. Yet when we realize that they are hands of love, we can only wish for sempre.Sì from voice to the hand, so we could summarize the message of today. Jesus not only calls me, but it gives me his hand, he shakes hands in those holes by nails, hands open to give, hands that have lifted while Peter was sinking in water, in fear of the winds. Pope Benedict XVI said: "... He has grasped his hand and gave us a new" specific gravity ": the lightness that comes from faith and draws us upward. And then there's the hand that supports and leads. He supports us. We set again and again our eyes on Him and reach out to Him Let his hand take ours, and then do not sink but will serve life which is stronger than death, and love that is stronger hatred. Faith in Jesus, Son of the living God, is the means by which again and again grabbed the hand of Jesus and through which he takes our hands and we guida.Lasciamoci grab by these hands! On this day dedicated to prayer for vocations to ask in particular that many young people can be fascinated by the Voice and Hands of the Good Shepherd and then want to follow him wherever he goes, their own voice to be consecrated hands of the Word and in particular for consacrare.Preghiamo for priests, pastors of the Church, that they may be joyful witnesses in their ministry to follow Jesus Teacher and Pastor. We believe in the priesthood this year, the testimony given by Cure of Ars. He said Benedict XVI, "was a man of great wisdom and heroic strength in resisting the cultural and social pressures of his time to condurre le anime a Dio: semplicità, fedeltà ed immediatezza erano le caratteristiche essenziali della sua predicazione, trasparenza della sua fede e della sua santità.

Let us say: O Father, make us witnesses of your love!
* For the Church, because through personal and community witness to those who have already responded to the call of the Lord inspire in young people the desire to respond generously to Christ, we pray.
* For the Pope, Bishops and Priests, for in this Year of the Priesthood, after the example of the Good Shepherd, as the Curé d'Ars, live their priesthood in the renewed service of unlimited donations, please.
After communion
Holy Spirit, burning fire of light and heat, give us a deep passion for intimacy with the Lord, to remain in his love. Like the disciples of Jesus were exchanged and the joyful surprise encounter with him, gives each of us the transparency of the heart to tell, with gratitude and wonder, what we have known him, lived and loved. Make our humble testimony, marked by the choice of the cross and welcomed in the hope of Easter joy, a sign of fertility and an invaluable opportunity for young people to reflect on their vocation with simplicity, trust and complete openness. Amen
