Eb 12,18-29.22-24
From Hebrews
Brothers, you're not any closer to something tangible or a burning fire or in darkness, darkness and storm, nor clarion call and sound of words, while those who heard begged God not to pay more at the word. But ye are come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and thousands of angels, festal gathering, and the assembly of the firstborn whose names are written in heaven, to God the Judge of all the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus, mediator of the New Covenant.
SINGING THE GOSPEL
Mt 11.29
Alleluia, alleluia.Prendete my yoke upon you, saith the Lord, and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of cuore.Alleluia.
GOSPEL
Lk 14,1-7-14
From the Gospel according to Luke
happened that one Saturday Jesus went to the house of a Pharisee to eat and they were watching him. He said to the guests a parable, noting that picked the places, "When you're invited to a wedding from someone, do not put yourself first, because there is another more worthy of you asked, and one who invited him to come to you and say: "cedilla place." Then you take the lowest place in shame. Instead, when you're invited, go 'to get last place, because when the person who invited you to tell you, "Friend, come up higher." Then you shall have honor in front of all diners. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. "Then he said to the man who had invited him:" When you give a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in turn why not also invite you and you repaid. Conversely, when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed because non hanno da ricambiarti. Riceverai infatti la tua ricompensa alla risurrezione dei giusti».
OMELIA
COMMENTO ALLE LETTURE
Una lettura un po’ superficiale dei brani scritturistici offerti oggi alla nostra riflessione e alla nostra intenzione di scoprire in essi una prospettiva di vita, può lasciarci perplessi perchè ci sembra di ritrovarci di fronte ad una proposta dettata da un tipo di spiritualità ormai superata sia negli ambienti laici sia in quelli più strettamente religiosi, una spiritualità, cioè, basata su esortazioni che riguardavano l’acquisizione delle “virtù” da praticare and among these especially humility aims to provide an 'etiquette of politeness ...
In the first reading (Sir) we find this basic plot: a recommendation-fatherly instruction: the reader is invited to take an attitude of care and openness, the attitude of a disciple, in the face of one who speaks for his father. Not only will recognize him as the rich man of experience, but will have confidence in his advice dictated by paternal care. Meekness leads to being loved (v. 17), humility opens man to the gifts of God (v. 18), placing it before God, before the greatness of His power (v. 20) because the allocates to the rightful place and makes it a witness of God and His grace.
Turning directly to the Gospel of Luke, we note first that the passage of this Sunday is part of a literary unit (Lk. 14, 1-25), which was entitled "Such friendly" and include: the story of a recovery during the meal of the Sabbath (vv. 1-6), on those two meals (our passage) and the parable of the great dinner (vv. 15-24).
Jesus uses the festive meal in the house of a Pharisee which is the subject of a thorough analysis of the Pharisees by looking critically at his actions. But, in turn, Jesus himself points out the way they behave, which is to go and take the top. This finding provides an opportunity to teach a lesson (it's the same process that we find in Luke. 21.1-4 / / Mc. 12.41 to 44 where Jesus notes how "the rich cast into the treasury of their abundance. .."), through a parable that sets out a rule of prudence is not prudent to take the lead when it comes to lunch because you risk being subject to humiliation in front of all the guests after they acted out of ambition. Apparently, then, that Jesus was a wise decision to call the book of Proverbs: "Do not give airs before the guilty do not get to the place of the great, because it is better to be told:" Come up here, "rather than be humiliated in front of a more important "(25.6-7 Pr).
Jesus in the Gospel, where he refers explicitly to TA, it does so with the 'intention to complete the Old Testament thought with "new". And that is what will emerge in seguito.L 'other track of the passage today (Lk. 14, 12-14), connected with that now under consideration, makes us take a further thought: "When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame , the blind .. "so" put in last place, "really means to share the situation of those invited to get close to them voluntarily. E 'at this point that we heard the call: “amico vieni più su”.
The extraordinary and unique mission entrusted by God to Mary had its origin in his humility lived with simplicity and joy, open and available to God's humility, therefore, given by the Gospel, enlightened by these New Testament references, we looks like:
The focal point is fixed gaze of God, where He can establish a deep relationship and so called "friend".
The vantage point from which you can, with more chiarezza, giudicare-valutare le persone e la realtà che ci circonda.
E’ la possibilità di accostarci every day at the heavenly banquet with a heart completely free and available to accommodate us in the living God.
This last consideration allows us to discover a link with the second reading (Heb. 12: 18-19. 22-24). In this Epistle to the Hebrews, the author presents the Christian life as a "communion of saints" that Christians, who have the extraordinary privilege of being accepted from now in the city of God, must become aware of this reality that gives fullness to their lives. Here then, to note the importance of this condition, the contrast with the experience of the Old Testament where the approach God on Mount Sinai meant being involved in a terrible upheaval of nature, in an oppressive, that the very words of revelation did not distinguish from the material aspects of the theophany, the possibility of a relationship with God was virtually impossible because your words are incomprehensible to most. And 'this is a negative phase of the necessary purification and preparation as well (thought to fall within the theme in the Gospel) a situation of humiliation: the beginning, that is a journey.
"But ye are combined ..."( v. 22). In the Bible the word" approach "implies a religious nuance: priests to serve you draw near to God, draw near to God deals ... Our text wanted highlight the contrast with the situation in the Old Testament, does draw our attention to the plight of Christians durable: they are permanent relationship with the spiritual world and the divine. "... Thousands of angels, festal gathering ..."( v. 22). For Christians, being closely associated with the angels of God, is to participate in an intense spiritual life, in praise, adoration and contemplation of the Most High.
The approach then the banquet of the Eucharist, is the privilege granted to those in the poverty of the human condition, bringing the weight of their illness when they are still firmly in last place, feel with surprise invitation: "Friend, come up higher"; matched to the banquet table to share the feast of the saints and angels to renew the pact with the glorious Christ the new covenant.

Is 66, 18-21

Io porrò in essi un segno e manderò i loro superstiti alle popolazioni di Tarsis, Put, Lud, Mesec, Ros, Tubal e Iavan, alle isole lontane che non hanno udito parlare di me e non have seen my glory they will proclaim my glory among the nations. Bring all your brethren from all nations as an offering to the Lord, on horses, chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain of Jerusalem - says the Lord - as the children of Israel bring the ' offered in clean vessels in the temple of the Lord. Also I will take each other priests the Levites, saith the Lord. "
PSALM RESPONSORIAL
from Ps 116
All nations will see the glory of the Lord
all Gentiles, praise the Lord, all you peoples, sing his praise. Strong is his love trouble for the Lord's faithfulness endures forever.
SECOND READING
Eb 12,5-7.11-13
From Hebrews
Brothers, have already forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons: "My son, despise not correction Signoree you do not lose heart when you're taken by him, because the Lord disciplines him whom he beats everyone recognizes as a child amae. "That's your fix that you suffer! God is treating you as sons, and what is the child that is not corrected by his father? Of course, the moment every fix does not seem cause for joy, but sadness later, however, causes a fruit of peace and justice to those who have been through it addestrati.Perciò, strengthen the hands inert and the feeble knees and walk straight with your feet, because the foot has a limp that cripples, but rather to heal.
SINGING THE GOSPEL
Jn 14:6
Alleluia, alleluia.Io am the way, the truth and the life, saith the Lord: no man cometh unto the Father except through me.Alleluia.
GOSPEL
Luke 13.22-30
From the Gospel according to Luke
At that time, Jesus passed through towns and villages, teaching, and was on his way to Jerusalem. One said to him: "Sir, there are few who are saved?". He told them: "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter, but they will not. When the master of the house will rise and shut the door, you stand outside and knocking at the door, saying: "Lord, open to us." But he will answer "I do not know where you are." Then you will say, 'We ate and drank in your presence and you taught in our streets. " But he will declare: "You do not know where you are. Get away from me, all ye workers of injustice. " There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you kicked out. From east and west, from north and south and sit at table in the kingdom of God here, there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be the last. "

COMMENT ON READING
SUNDAY CHRISTIAN ANONYMOUS
I know that sounds like a crazy stuff, but according to a recent and well documented research - amazing - F . Garelli, an impressive number of young people - about one million - in Italy has decided at least once in their vita a… farsi prete.
Una cosa è certa: se crediamo che young Christians are only those who go to Mass and catechism, we may not have understood how things are today.

The same could be said than adults.
do not know if you've never heard of the so-called anonymous Christians. Cristiano
anonymous, explains the great Jesuit theologian Karl Rahner, is anyone who follows his own conscience, whether they consider they be Christian or non-Christian, and that feel the need to be an atheist or believer. Such a person is acceptable to and accepted by God and can attain the eternal life that we confess our Christian faith as the end of all men. In other words, the grace and justification, the union and communion with God, the possibility of attaining eternal life, everything just an obstacle in the bad conscience of a man (Karl Rahner, The effort to believe, Editions Pauline, 1986, p. 86).
Listening to the readings for this Sunday, we could, humorously, to thank the Church for a Sunday dedicated to the anonymous Christians: those who, considering the classic adage extra ecclesia nulla salus, they are physically outside the Church on earth ... but are likely to overtake it in heavenly one, if we take the words of Jesus for good
They are not in church with us today, but the Church tells us that we are present in the liturgy, as we look at them. We have to correct some 'our ideas about una domanda fondamentale, che spesso ci facciamo.
È un invito alla speranza, una exhortation that allows us to broaden our horizons to embrace a broader vision. The path to salvation is narrow, but is crossed by people who not imagine.
"strengthen the hands inert and the feeble knees" takes over the second reading. Here, too, returns a call to hope, that is, to accept the point of view of God, which is larger than ours, a perspective that is not fundamentalist or sectarian, but based on mercy. We believe in a God who is Father, and then corrects the wrong views of those he loves. "What is the child that is not corrected by the Father?" Says the author of Hebrews. You take the picture of Previous Sunday, that is the sport of racing. In this way we are not alone, we Christians, but we have many friends. "Reassured our hope and our trust and lanciamoci pitch trained and safe on the difficult path of life" (G. Ravasi).
Jesus confirms this in the Gospel: to be the way of salvation must be going through the "narrow gate" (verse 24), that is the commitment and personal effort in the search for a clear conscience, say Karl Rahner. But I prefer to say, the commitment and personal effort in seeking the kingdom of Dio.Non is important to be enrolled in a church, to present their religious traditions, practice of the precepts, to belong to a group: to be the way of salvation requires a choice of real life, made of a clear conscience, peace building, the practice of justice, love and forgiveness to others. "from east and west, from north and south and sit at table in the kingdom of God "Jesus said to still back the vision of hope, breaking our narrow mindsets.
"Better to be a Christian without saying that to say it without being" always preaches the Archbishop of Milan, Dionigi Tettamanzi, quoting Ignatius of Antioch.
Perhaps this expression is the synthesis of the above.
There are Christians who do not know of it. Others who think so, and they are not.
Perhaps the ideal solution would be a third way: "Being a Christian and say" put into practice what Jesus recommended in today's Gospel and bear witness to life in a consistent and clear.
We can certainly agree that outside the Church there is no salvation. But we can also say, being fully in the Catholic orthodoxy, which, next to a church official, there is a communion of Christians are not formally sanctioned by the officer of this membership (R. Vernino).
pray in silence for a few moments, taking the words of the Gloria, we decided at the beginning of the Mass: "Glory to Dio nell’alto dei cieli e pace in terra agli uomini di buona volontà”.

Readings, Homily and Liturgy

FIRST READING
Rev 11:19; 12,1-6.10
Revelation of St. John the Apostle
It opened the temple of God in heaven and appeared in the temple the ark of his covenant. A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was pregnant, and she cried out in labor and travail. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his heads, the His tail swept a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the ground. The dragon stood before the woman, who was about to give birth in order to devour her child when it was born. She gave birth to a son, destined to rule all nations with a rod of iron, and his son was caught up to God and to his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert, where God had prepared a rifugio.Allora I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "You are now compiutala salvation, strength, and the kingdom of our Dioe the power of his Christ."
PSALM RESPONSORIAL
from Ps 44
shines the queen, Sir, to your right
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But everyone in his place: Christ, the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death, because everything was under his feet

Gospel Acclamation Alleluia, alleluia.Maria is taken up into heaven, the cheering crowds of angeli.Alleluia.
GOSPEL
Lc 1,39-56

COMMENT ON READING
The word "assumption" in our culture, makes you immediately think of something having to do with the world of "work". "It 'was finally taken," sigh parents concerned about the future of their children ... "I finally found a system," say many young people at the end of a troubled path of training courses, workshops, temporary accommodation ...
These expressions are then common to consider the "stability" work as a priority area and the "finality" as a parameter optimal arrangement.
a consideration, perhaps paradoxical flavor, but encourages us to remember that all this coveted "finality" or "accommodation" is searched and lived in the broader context of "uncertainty" that exists and that is that of "impermanence" of earthly life.
Now just today's feast, the Assumption, forces us to focus our attention on a more spiritual scene. It is not considered disrespectful in this regard, to remember a funny joke ... "Mary was" assumed "in heaven because he had not found a job on earth "...
But why, one wonders, the Gospel passage chosen for this special Sunday commemorating the event" and definitive end "the life of Mary is part of the 'beginning' of Luke's account?
Why this combined narrative of the 'beginning' of an adventure (which took place on earth) and "end" of the same (which took place in the sky)?
already this could not be an indication for how each believer should frame the entire period of his existence on earth ... just beginning, but ends in the sky?
E 'curious fact to note as the day of appointment, the passage of the Gospel is not brought perils in the telling of "the fact", but wants us to understand "why" it happened "because" ... that is why the Virgin had found its "accommodation" Final beyond the threshold of the earthly world, right in the heart of the Trinity.
And the answer lies in the track today. The Virgin Mary (a young girl full of dreams) was "assumed" into heaven for believing strongly, beyond its earthly dreams, in the new course of history was beginning, the birth of a new world only love ...
Neither fear nor bitterness touched the Virgin Mary's soul (in this sense has always remained a virgin), or sighs, or complain they have crossed the deepest fibers of his mother's heart ... the thought of what would have touched his very special Son.
There is more, and is a particularly important to do right, especially for those souls unconsciously wanting to "shortcuts" in the way of salvation, or "privileges" for the role they perform in the great task of the Kingdom of God
Maria for believing strongly and immediately, not had no privilege, nor got discounts on the price he had agreed to pay on behalf of humanity.
Maria had nothing but trouble, humanly speaking, one problem after another ... just beginning to be pregnant in a spiritual way ... and so on.
Mary, like every mother, lived trepidation and pain but never complained or recrimination as many mothers ...
Mary believed the "accommodation" for his son and ultimately that's why he wanted it to end permanently bind "to assume "in the Trinity.
should not be difficult to obtain information as is the man arrabatta to seek "stability" on the shifting sands of live terrestrial ...

Eb 11,1-2.9-18
From Hebrews
Brothers, faith is the foundation of what we hope and the conviction of things not seen. For this faith our ancestors have been approved by Dio.Per faith, Abraham is called by God, obeyed out to a place that was to receive an inheritance, and left without knowing where andava.Per faith he sojourned in the promised land like a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs of the same promise. He looked forward to the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God stesso.Per faith even Sarah, although out of age, was given the opportunity to become a mother, because they considered him a trustworthy person who had promised. For this one man alone, and also already marked by death, was born descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is located along the seashore and you can not contare.Nella faith died all these, without having obtained what was promised, but saw them and greeted them from afar, saying that they were strangers and pilgrims on earth. Who talks like that, it shows they are seeking a homeland. If they had thought that they had left, they would have had the opportunity to return, but now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he has prepared for them a città.Per faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, to whom was told: "Through Isaac your descendants a". He considered that God is able to raise from the dead: we would also recovered as a symbol.

GOSPEL
Luke 12.32-48
From the Gospel according to Luke
At that time, Jesus told his disciples: "Fear not, little flock, for your Father's good pleasure to give the Regno.Vendete what you have and give alms for yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure safe in heaven where no thief comes near and no moth consumes. Because where your treasure is, there also will your cuore.Siate ready, with her dress tied at the waist, and lighted lamps; be similar to those that wait for their master to return from the wedding, so that when he comes and knocks, the open now. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes, verily I say unto you, will hang the clothes to the sides, will make them sit at table and wait on them. And if he comes in the middle of the night or before dawn, and finds them so, blessed are they! Understand this: if the householder had known at what hour the thief would not have let his house be broken. You also must be ready because hour you do not, is the Son of Man. "Then Peter said," Lord, you mean this parable for us or for everyone? ". The Lord said, Who then is the faithful and prudent that the master will set over his household to give them their portion of food in due time? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes finds him doing so. Truly I tell you that it will set him over all his possessions. But if that servant says to himself: "My master is delayed in coming, and begins to beat the servants and the maidservants, to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of that servant will come a day when not if ' wait an hour and who does not know, will punish him severely and inflict the fate of the infidels deserve. The servant who knew his master's will, will not be ready or act according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; that rather than not know, and have done things worthy of stripes, will receive a few. To whom much is given, much will be required, who was entrusted with much, much more will be required. "
HOMILY
"To oversee the treasure"
I do not know if he's ever happened to some of those who visit this site to have anything to do with any surveillance system! Well, I'm pretty sure that many people doubt the alarm for the home or the car or some system of protection for the motor, any password to your computer and / or non-mobile ... say the endless credit card PIN codes or other various devices. Indeed, in recent years the company has specialized in inventing protection systems in defense of property. This means that if there is an increase in this sense means that the thefts up ... I will not dwell on this ... we all know that there is this refinement of the "security technology" that sometimes seems so sure that sleep peacefully ... and then we break through the house ... because she had fallen or had been dropped, the current, the battery had run out or lock dell'aggeggio security had given "security technology". I would suggest to you that I read to try to propose an alternative to all these technologies. This is a much safer, I would say almost certainly safe. And part of what this alternative suggests that today's Gospel. "Where your treasure is, there is also your heart." Oh yes, try to invent "security technology" for the treasure we hold in our hearts. This is because what is most precious to us, we, as men = sons of God, not so much the beautiful home we have, the beautiful car or the newest model of mobile phone / computer and not even the many credit cards that behind "hiding" a good capital money. Yes, all this might be useful: you live with more comfort with these things that can be (considered) signs of the blessing of God our treasure, however, is concentrated in what we are inside the heart. And this treasure is "contained in earthen vessels," as s. Paul. So it is necessary to make use of a means of monitoring because they can not stealing so many enemies that can not wait to be able to break into the house of our heart and bring disorder and frustrating infelicità.Stiamo passing, as a church, a period of major attacks from all quarters and by many methods, some subtle, some are very obvious (the press, political views, gatherings decidedly against the human spirit of the gospel, etc...) It is not the first time and will not be the last and every time the church has caused a "shock" to sift the wheat from the chaff. However, echoes the words of Jesus: "Fear not little flock." Where I come from they say that "the only stones throw themselves to the tree that has fruit," is reserved for the other's indifference. Here is our "safety device" in the words of Jesus, trusting in the word of life, eternal life. As we humans are strange: we have a bubble in which the heart desire, the longing for lasting things, for the words eterne, e ci lasciamo accontentare (magari anche gustando qualche attimo di piacere assicurativo) dalle cose, dalle parole di coloro che gestiscono (sì, con interesse commerciale) la porzione di informazione da rifilarci ogni giorno! Non c’è da meravigliarsi se molti vogliono essere potenti; non c’è da stupirsi se la società (talvolta anche quella ecclesiale) works through the influence and knowledge, there is not even shocked when they are made by so many scandals. It all depends on what is important to us and, not least from a security system that has as its interior, for your heart.
And we, what is the treasure of our life? Where is, where it really turned our hearts? We must respond with sincerity to find the "security technology" fit to our hearts! Happy journey!
COMMENT ON SECOND READING
basis and foundation: faith for us, his disciples.
E se ad Israele had been promised a land like the letter to the Hebrews reminds us, his disciples - the new Israel - Jesus proclaims the gospel of the kingdom. No more land, but a kingdom, even the kingship of God: Jesus Christ, Christ's presence is the main reason why we should not fear. It is clear, then, as this sentence is a link between the exhortation to abandon themselves to Providence of the Father who gave us all of himself in his Son and the invitation to watch a willingness to do that, we more than the crowd, we called upon to make. The desire to keep this kingdom, the very person of Jesus in the Church, but on this we will return periods poco.Nei particular economic uncertainty like the one we are experiencing are directed towards investment goods so-called "refugees" have-haven assets, property, gold, all those goods that hardly lose their value over time. Where are we heading? If the crowd was invited to escape the frantic search of riches, the invitation to the disciples is another to sell and give away. The Evangelist Luke is always attentive to the needs of the neediest. The sell here, however, has one purpose: to give value to things. Let's try to think of what not to deprive me why? Do I really need? But most of all: where is my treasure and, therefore, my heart? What is il mio bene-rifugio? A noi discepoli, come a Pietro e agli Apostoli, è rivolta questa Parola di oggi: noi, in our misery, but at the same time weakness in our abilities and gifts received are called to be faithful and trustworthy administrators. Jesus asks him not to the crowd, but us. For this we have been asked to "sell everything, because once they become part of this flock," I shall not want. " "A great powers are great responsibility," said a famous comic book superhero then brought to the big screen. For us, that we are not superheroes, this statement is true. To us, his disciples are entrusted with the administration of this kingdom, each in a position that is right. I should ask, however, where or at what point is my faith, if for me, as the author of Hebrews, "is the foundation of what we hoped for and evidence of things not seen" I wonder if my faith is "foundation" of my life. Or if it's only a small curtain wall to avoid bad weather on the more exposed. And sooner or later will be to fall when the wind blows stronger and the rain will fall copiosa.Oppure we leave, thanking the Lord for the great gift that has given us, remembering how he chose us, through our parents, through the friends, a priest at a time of profound difficulty or great joy. And to renew our membership, our desire to administer his kingdom faithfully and prudently. With the knowledge of being fragile, and that all our behavior will not go unnoticed in the eyes of the "crowd". But even with the certainty of faith, the basis and foundation, which architect and builder of the Kingdom is God himself, and this makes it a holy church waiting and hoping my holiness before I require his. And on this foundation of hope to begin or start from today, where once again the Lord is shaking as the hips and starts to move the table to serve us, His servants. In the bread and wine which he, once again, is about to give Himself to us.

After communion

The word I can not teach a pregare.Dio not hear your words, if you do not pronounce himself through your labbra.E I can not teach prayer of the mountains, seas and forests. But you have grown out of forests, mountains and seas, you can find their prayer in your heart. And if you tend to only listen in the stillness of the night, you will hear in the silence: "Our God, wing of ourselves, we want according to your second volontà.Desideriamo your desiderio.Il your empire turn our nights, which are your nights, days are your giorni.Nulla we ask you, because you know our needs even before they are born in us. You are our needs, and gives us more of yourself, give us everything. "

Toes And Fingers Tingling

Readings and Homily

FIRST READING
Qo 1.2, 2 0.21 to 23
From the Book of Ecclesiastes
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities: all is vanità.Chi worked with wisdom, knowledge and success will then leave his party to another that there has toiled for nothing. This also is vanity and a great male.
Tu li sommergi:sono come un sogno al mattino, come l’erba that sprouts, blooms and buds in the morning, the evening fades and secca.Insegnaci to count our days will purchase a heart saggio.Ritorna, Lord, how long? Have mercy on thy servants! Fill us at daybreak with your love, rejoice and rejoice all our giorni.Sia upon us the sweetness of the Lord our God, make us strong for the work of our hands, the work of our hands, make firm.

Col 3,1-5.9-11
from the letter of Paul to the Colossians
Brothers, buried with Christ in baptism, you are also risen with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him dai morti.
Alleluia.
VANGELO
Lc 12,13-21
Dal vangelo secondo Luca
In quel tempo, uno della folla disse a Gesù: «Maestro, di’ a mio fratello to divide the inheritance with me. " But he said: "Man, who made me a judge or mediator over you?". He said to them: 'Be careful and stay away from all covetousness, because even if one is in abundance, life does not depend on what he possesses. " Then he told them a parable: "The ground of a rich man produced an abundant harvest. He thought to himself: "What shall I do, because I have no where to put my crops? I will do so - he said - pull down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to myself, my soul, you have many goods, for many years, rest, eat, drink and have fun. " But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night you will be prompted for your life. And what we have prepared, whose will they be? ". So is he who lays up treasure for himself and not enriched with God. "
HOMILY
COMMENT ON READING
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of cieli.Eccoci here at the beginning of August, at the heart of summer, between the unbearable heat and the desire to rest between excursions and trips to the mountains to the sea ... Here we are, after the Sunday of the Good Samaritan and the need della preghiera - tra l’affannarsi di Marta e l’ascolto di Maria – a sentirci interpellati su… denaro ed eredità.
The song is now included in Chapter 12 of Luke, where the evangelist brings together a number of sayings of Jesus, addressed to the disciples and the crowd. In the first verse of the chapter says that "thousands of people had gathered that they were trampling one another." It is a clear picture that expresses the large number of followers who now was behind the Master. But Jesus, surrounded by so many people, is addressed only to the disciples, urging them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, that is hypocrisy, to confess openly Dio.il speech on faith in wealth, however, casts a new look at the whole crowd. It is beyond a voice of a man gets up to ask Jesus to ask, as a judge between man and his brother to the question of heredity. Jesus refuses to take this task on time means money does not in fact the real wealth, not a source of life. This wealth is a recurring theme in Luke. Even Mary, the poor daughter of Zion, had praised God that "fills the hungry and sent the rich away empty" (see 1.53). Jesus in the Sermon on the Beatitudes, had launched its first "woe" just for the rich "because you have already your consolation "(6,24). The true believer is in fact the poor, who knows he needs God in the same way will be to his youngest son, having squandered all the inheritance of his father, to return to him in extreme poverty, in need of love and forgiveness. It will be the poor Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham to come unlike the rich man who feasted sumptuously every day. So Zacchaeus give up his wealth to start a new life saved. We must guard against greed, because life does not depend on property. In this line there is the parable of today, inspired by the farming community. The rich want to keep improving like any greedy man is wrong, to become "Foolish" because they provide the illusion of his life with the mere possession of the property. He does not take into account that his life may end at any moment. In this regard, well befitting the words of Psalm 49: "The man does not understand prosperity, is like the beasts that perish."
But the sense of the word of Jesus is another: if you think the wealth is not to accumulate more and more, but starts to give more and more. The real rich is not one "who has" but one "who gives." The theme of the gospel takes the pictures in the text of Ecclesiastes, a book written by a wise sage jew lived towards the end of the third century BC In the search for meaning in life, feels deeply Ecclesiastes "vanity of everything," the inconsistency and incomprehensibility of life of things. The term "vanity" - in Hebrew Hevel - could be translated as "breath" and assonance with the name of Abel, also a breath of life, life cut short in an instant envy of Cain. For life is a blast and also all the work done by a man will have an end. Unless we look beyond, to the One who holds all things in life, our existence there will always be a breath without the word senso.Sicuramente today sheds light on many current situations in a society increasingly based on money and wealth, which seem to open every door. The "have more and more" is one of the most common human aspirations of all time, even more contemporary man. There should be reflected by the "disease of the game" that more and more ruined the lives of many people, young and old, "committed" more than once a week to "make the numbers" of the lottery or "scratch" to win, without realizing the money to lose more than their dignity. By the grace of God we were in the story - but there are even today - many saints, far from all covetousness, have given themselves over to Providence senza timore di restare delusi.
Pensiamo anche a tante persone che conosciamo, di cui who did not know who knows that bank account, but living in the joy of being satisfied with what they have, relying on the richness of love. is the "divine carelessness" that makes men free to love God and prossimo.La positive response to anxiety aroused by the word of today is given to us by the Apostle Paul. We are raised with Christ here is the wonderful sense of our existence. We are called with him to look up, to lift us from the occupation of empty land to discover the treasure that awaits us in heaven. Should leave the old man and put on the new, re-discovering the source of life in baptism. In fact, through baptism we are united in Christ, there are no more divisions and He is all in all. Renewing the image of God we can put the true wealth.

Lord, when I'm hungry, give me someone who needs to eat, Lord, when I'm thirsty, give me someone who needs water, Lord, when I'm cold, give me someone who needs warmth. Lord, when I suffer, give me someone who needs comfort, Lord, when my cross seem heavy, let me share the cross of another, Lord, when I feel poor, put me on the side someone more needy.
